La Unidad Educativa fue fundada en 1.977 como una Institución Particular, Laica, ubicada en el sur de Quito. Desde sus inicios asumió el reto de llevar adelante la Excelencia Educativa a través de una formación integral, vivencial y personalizada.

Su enseñanza se fundamenta en la Pedagogía Activa, la que conduce al desarrollo del pensamiento, acorde con las exigencias e innovaciones del siglo XXI.
Johann Strauss School was founded in 1977 as a Private, Secular Institution, located in the south of Quito. From its beginnings, it took on the challenge of promoting Educational Excellence through comprehensive, experiential and personalized training.
Its teaching is based on Active Pedagogy, which leads to the development of thought, in accordance with the demands and innovations of the 21st century.
